2024.5.27 (ESOC Field Report)

Today at ESOC, we conducted final preparation status checks and a briefing for tomorrow's launch.
At the start of the meeting, Watching the animation of Hakuryu orbiting the Earth, I was excited to think that EarthCARE would finally be launched into orbit.

Launch and critical operations at ESOC are carried out in two 12-hour shifts, but when everyone gathers together it becomes a large group. During training and operations, we are spread out across multiple rooms, so when we all gathered together, I was overwhelmed.
We all took a commemorative photo wearing matching uniforms (there are several types), but the JAXA original hoodie (white with a cloud motif) really stood out.
There are also many members who remain in Japan, not shown here, who are supporting us, and many at the launch site. We will come together as one from all over the country and take part in the launch!
